Feeding - devices for endless - belt conveyers.-Comprises sbovelling-mechanism for feeding loading-machines and the like, and is described in connexion with a loading-machine in which a receiving - conveyer D is mounted upon a laterally-swinging frame C5 carried by a self-propelled carriage. The frame C16, carrying the shovel E, is pivotably mounted on the frame C5 at C7, and is adjustably and resiliently connected thereto by the device C25. The shovel is supported by a rotating crank C29, and is guided at the rear end in grooves C13 arranged to cause the shovel to move along the ground for some distance. Pivoted in the shovel is a portion E6 which, when the shovel becomes inclined, as shown in full lines in Fig. 1, receives the charge. The charge is then thrown upon the conveyer D by rack-and-pinion gear E3, or by a cranked arm engaging a slot, the portion E6 being rotated into the position shown by the dotted lines. Should there be sufficient head room, the shovel may be formed in one part pivoted at one eud and resting intermediately upon a plate connected to the crank.
