Straps and bands. - A lady's underskirt is held down while an outer garment is drawn up over the feet, by means of a tape, which is looped over the foot, and has a loop B at one end and a stud A on the other. The loop and stud are fastened to the underskirt after the manner of a stocking-suspender. The tape may be made long enough to tie round the waist, leaving a long and a short end, the long end being passed under the foot, brought up, and fastened over the skirt to the short end. In this method of using the device, the pull on the parts of the fastening is opposite to that in a stocking-suspender.
