Diamond tools. - In diamond saws, the diamond sockets 3 have a saw-cut 5 starting from the base of the socket and intersecting a hole 4 with countersunk ends. The sockets are placed in recesses in the blades, the bottom portions of which recesses taper outwards. A piece of round metal is then inserted in each hole 4 to wedge the socket in position. The sockets have V-grooves fitting V-projections in the sides of the recesses.
