Wireless control of distant apparatus.-In a system of wireless control from a distance, the transmitter is operating continuously and sends two series of waves, one for performing the required operations at the receiver, and the other for blocking the receiver against actuation by outside influences. The circuit of the operating-waves at the receiver contains a relay 4, the armature 14 of which completes a circuit from the battery over the steering or like relay 13 and the magnet 9. The magnet 9 opens the switch 7 in the blocking-circuit. The other series of waves from the transmitter actuates the relay 5, thus bringing the magnet 8 in circuit and opening the operating circuit at the switch 6. The two series of waves may consist of waves of different wave or group frequencies or of combinations of waves of different frequencies. Only one receiving circuit may be used, the circuit being tuned alternately by a switch to the frequencies of the operating and blocking waves. The apparatus is applicable to the distant control of central electric stations, or to the steering of ships, balloons, or kites.
