' Engaged ' indicators.-For indicating when a seat in a theatre or other place is engaged, the box A has a transparent panel B and a sliding shutter C bearing the number of the seat. The shutter C can be shifted by inserting a key to engage a recess E in the slide and moving the key along the slit D. The word ' engaged ', or the number of the seat may thus be exposed through the panel B. In a modification which is shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the word engaged ' is marked on a rotatable disk H, and is normally concealed by a plate G which carries the number of the seat. The plate G and disk H are contained within a casing comprising dished covers K, F. The disk H is connected to a disk I which normally engages a recess in the cover K. To expose the word ' engaged,' the disks H, I can be rotated by a key M, which fits into a square hole L in the disk H. Stops 0, P are provided for limiting the movement of the disks.
