Reciprocating - punch machines.-An intermittent feedmechaniem for sheet material comprises a reciprocating spacing-bar g furnished with openings f adapted successivelv to engage a resilient pawl c on the feed carriage a. The pawl c has an oblique face to facilitate its riding loosely over the bar g during the return movement of the latter, and a lever e is provided to raise the pawl c during the initial adjustment of the carriage. The bar g is replaceable for the purpose of securing changes of feed. A brake device serves to prevent movement of the carriage a during the idle movement of the bar g. The mechanism may be actuated automatically or by foot.
