Fuel supports.-A gas-producer for use with brown coal, lignite, &c. has a rotatable fuelsupport coned to its rim, with a central blast nozzle H, the fuel-support being provided with upstanding ribs G curved backwards in regard to the direction of rotation and extending to the circumference of the fuel column. The ribs thus cut away and displace outwardly the slag formed at the base of the fuel column. Specification 14,079/11, [Class 51 (ii), Furnaces &c. for applying &c.], is referred to.
