Hygrometric apparatus. - In apparatus using wet and dry bulb thermometers, the rise and fall of which varies electric resistances, these resistances are so arranged that equal changes in temperature a t different temperatures cause unequal changes in the resistances. In one modification, the resistances are in the form of helices, Fig. 3, the convolutions of which gradually vary in concentration as shown. The thermometers are arranged to balance at equal temperatures of the wet and dry bulb elements in a Wheatstone-bridge or similar arrangement.
