Alarm apparatus. - Paper - making, webprinting, and like machines are provided with apparatus of the centrifugal type, driven by the paper itself, for closing an electric circuit and sounding an alarm when the speed of the material passing through the machine is too low, or when a stoppage occurs owing to breakage of the paper. Spring - controlled weighted levers d are mounted on a disk or arms a attached to a shaft or roller c, which is itself driven by frictional contact with the paper.
