Coating-machines.-An electrotype mould 16 to be coated with graphite or other conductive powder is placed face downwards above a device for projecting spray containing the powder, and is not immersed in liquid. The spraying- device, or the mould itself, may be moved so as to produce even distribution. The aqueous or other liquid from which the spray is raised is agitated by paddles 12, to keep the powder in suspension. The spraying-device may be an atomizer 17 or perforated tube through which compressed air is forced, or a paddle-wheel. Non - adherent particles may be afterwards washed off the mould while this is still supported face downwards.
