Actuating by wave mills; single - acting piston pumps; regulating delivery by admission of air.-A wave-motor consists of a reciprocating head D2 formed of one or more buckets d2 of triangular shape connected to one or more pumps C. The pumps are mounted on a float formed with an inclined front part provided with antifriction rollers b1, on which the bucket head reciprocates. Springs d4 cushion the buckets. The pumps are each arranged to pump either water or air, and are provided with a valve casing F, Fig. 3, with water-inlet valve g, air-inlet valve h, and the delivery valve f. Cocks g1, h1 are provided to cut off either the water or air supply. In order to throw any pump out of action, each is provided with a lever h1 by which the air-inlet valve may be held open.
