Compositions containing starch &c.-A solution or mixture for automatically closing punctures in tyres is made by adding 120 oz. of ground starch to a mixture obtained by mixing 2 oz. of glycerine in 190 oz. of water with 3 oz. each of spirits of wine and gum tragacanth. To this is added a solution of 2 drams each of aniline nigrosine dye and essence of cloves in 10 oz. of water. After thorough mixing, 3oz. of powdered rubber are added.
