Feeding and drinking appliances for animals.- In a combined' adjustable rack and trough in which the rack is pivoted so that it can be moved to prevent access to the trough, which is mounted so as to be reversible, the rack 5 and trough 4 are mounted in a frame 3 suspended by ropes 6 passing over a pulley 7 and wound round a drum 8 with handle 9. The rack is secured in its alternative. position over the trough by the engagement of a pin 14 with a notch 15 in a quadrant 16 secured to the frame and also by the engagement of a projection 19 with an edge of the trough. The trough may be secured in position by pins 17 slidably mounted in the brackets 13 carrying the trough and engaging holes 18 in the trough.
