摘要
3162. Westinghouse Metallfaden Gl³hlampenfabrik Ges. Feb. 9, 1912, [Convention date]. Filaments.-Bodies composed of tungsten or molybdenum or their alloys, together with auxiliary metals, are worked mechanically, but only until ductile enough to enable the pure refractory metals to be further worked, after the removal of the added metals, into filaments, or the like, which require no further treatment. A sheath of an electrolytic coating of a ductile metal may be applied to the bodies or ingots,' to facilitate the hammering, rolling, drawing, or other work operations, and heat may also be used. The sheath and the auxiliary metals are removed by melting or solution. A mixture of 90-95 parts of tungsten with 10-5 parts of nickel, copper, iron, or a like metal may be pressed into a stick and sintered. Alloys of tungsten and molybdenum with each other, or with additions to increase the radiating power, may be employed. Specification 3174/07 is referred to.
