To avoid risk, in addition to locking the driving-clutch o in the open position, the crank-shaft h is turned by a tommy-bar engaging holes in a disk k which carries pawls 1 adapted to engage a one-way ratchet 2 mounted on or cut in the shaft h. The tool c is adjusted by rotating the internally and externally threaded sleeve f by means of a reversible ratchet t. To prevent unintentional alteration of the connecting-rod e, all the members thereof are split as at e1, and a nut n having a coned surface m is tightened thereon.
