[Cognate Application, 5361/13.] Materials for wearing-apparel. - A material for use in the manufacture of corsets and other supporting-appliances consists of gauze or other fabric treated with cellulose acetate or other substantially inflammable cellulose ester or double ester, dissolved in or mixed with acetone &c. Castor or other suitable oil, or camphor, or celluloid solution containing metallic or ammonium chloride, or any combination of these substances, may be added to the cellulose ester solution. Successive layers of the fabric treated with the composition may be applied to a model of the article to be made until the desired thickness is obtained. Specification 23,777/12, [Class 140, Waterproof &c. fabrics], is referred to. According to the first Provisional Specification, pexuloid may be used instead of celluloid.
