Chromium oxides; alkaline-earth, antimony, cadmium, cerium, iron, magnesium, zinc, and other chromates. - Chromium oxide, or a substance yielding it such as chromium hydroxide, is heated alone or with an alkaline - earth or heavy metal oxide or substances yielding such an oxide such as a hydrate, in air or oxygen under pressure, to obtain chromium pigments. The products mentioned are a black chromium oxide and the chromates of the alkaline-earth metals, magnesium, and iron. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) mentions also the chromates of cadmium, cerium, antimony, and zinc; this subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
