Ash - trays. - A receptacle B for tobacco ash, cigar ends, &c. has a hinged cover D and an aperture G at one side for the introduction of the ash &c., the aperture being covered by a sliding plate H working in guides I and normally held closed by springs K. The plate may be withdrawn to expose the aperture by pulling down a thumbpiece J. The ash receptacle is shown combined with a receptacle C for matches etc.; a further receptacle similar in form to the receptacle B may he arranged on the side of the plate 0 for holding cigarettes &c. In a modification, the plate H is pivoted.
