Improvements in Suspension Devices for Outboard Motors.

Detachable propelling-installations.-Consists in arranging the suspension so that the motor can be readily detached without disturbing the remainder of the installation. The cylinders 1, Figs. 2 and 3, are surrounded by clamps 2 on arms 3 extending from a cramp 4. Between the clamps 2 and the cylinders are facings 9a integral with arms 9 which pass to arms 7 of a frame, the part 6 of which is a sleeve surrounding the motor shaft. The arms may thus be clamped in any position relative to the cylinder and cramp 4. The motor shaft has a sliding- sleeve connexion with the propeller shaft whereby the propeller may be raised or lowered. The rudder is carried by a sleeve 23 and operated by a vertical rod which can be adjusted for depth.
