Improvements in 'Engaged' and like Indicators for Door-locks.

' Engaged ' and like indicators.-An indicator operated by the door-spindle of a bathing machine comprises a segmental plate w exhibiting indications equivalent to ' Gentleman' and Vacant,' the former indication being covered when required by a segment t indicating ' Lady.' The doorspindle b1 turns the plate w, but in the position shown fails to turn the plate t, which is pressed inwards by a spring p so that the screw r in the escutcheon plate bears against the side of the slot s in the sleeve o' of the milled head o2 integral with the plate t. The slot s is in two parts which are out of alinement, Fig. 2, so that, by turning the milled head o2 and pressing it inwards it is possible to lock the plate t to the plate w by means of the projection and depression v, x. One of the two indications on the plate w is thus covered and replaced by that on the plate t.
