[Cognate Application, 30,096/13.] Colorimeters.-Apparatus for standardizing, recording, or matching colours comprises a series of colour disks X which can be mounted on a turntable A and rotated at high speed by a motor. The colour disks have radial slots x enabling any one disk to overlap another to any desired extent when two or more disks are superposed. When the disks have been adjusted to produce any desired colour, they can be fixed by a nut E which carries a loose non-rotating collar E1, and the amount of each colour showing can be read off by a circular scale placed over the disks. In the form shown in Fig. 9, a single colour disk is employed, and a heart shaped cam H is placed over it, a radiallydisposed measuring-device being used in this arrangement. The turntable A may have a series of holes which serve to keep the disks in contact with the table.
