Mine signalling systems; order apparatus.- A signal-indicator for use in mines, to indicate the number of times a signal bell is rung, comprises a disk which can be rotated step by step to bring numbers and coloured circles into view behind an aperture. The setting-mechanism comprises a magnet acting through a cord on a sliding pawl co-operating with a ratchet-wheel attached to the disk. The movement of the cage or gate is arranged to close a contact in the circuit of a release magnet, which acts through cords to lift the setting and retaining pawls away from the ratchet-wheel. allowing the indicator to be turned back to its normal position by a weight.
