Punctures, apparatus for closing.-In devices for closing punctures, of the type comprising a rubber plug a, Fig. 2, built on a canvas and rubber base b, the canvas is extended up into the body of the plug as shown at c. The base may be formed of small dimensions, and an additional separable base e, Fig. 5, provided in the form of a disk with a central aperture. The plug may be slightly undercut and rounded at its junction with the base, which may be provided with spikes to engage the tyre under repair.
