Couplings, automatic; draw-gear tensioning and slackening agents.-In a double coupling of the type in which a pivoted hook carried by each vehicle engages automatically with a link carried by the opposing vehicle, the hook s and the link v are each carried by a separate drawbar, and the two draw-bars are adapted to be tensioned simultaneously by means of two worms q upon the same operating cross-shaft d, each worm engaging a worm-wheel carried by a nut p which connects right and left handed screwed portions of the corresponding draw-bar.
