Coating processes.-In a method of preparing etched steel printing-rollers for printing calico &c., the roller, after cleaning and while still wet, is coated with sensitive solution which distributes itself in an even layer, and the roller is then placed with its axis vertical in a centrifugal drying-apparatus and rapidly rotated while a current of warm air is directed upon it, from below and from the side.
