Inclined - trough washing - apparatus. - The upper part b' of an inclined endless-belt coalwashing apparatus is extended beyond the point d1 at which the coal and washing-water are fed and is inclined upwards at a greater angle than the main part of the trough, two or more additional water sprays f, one behind the other, being provided over the extension. The length of the extension may be about ten feet.
