Celluloid and like compositions. -Products resembling celuloid are manufactured from cellulose derivatives, such as nitro- or acetylcellulose, and acyl derivatives of a completely hydrogenized aromatic base, such as acetyldicyclohexylamine obtained by acetylating dicyclohexylamine, or paratoluene - sulphodicyclohexylamine obtained from dicyclohexylamine by the action of paratoluene-sulphochloride. In an example, 35 parts of acetyldicyclohexylamine are mixed with 82 parts of nitrocellulose together with a little alcohol, and the mixture is worked up.
