16,086. Wright, S. M. July 6. Actuating.-A valve fitted to an inhaler is actuated through a Bowden cable by means situated near the face mask. Fig. 1 shows the valve b mounted on the union a and operated by a lever e and a Bowden cable g which passes through a tube which connects the casing k to the face mask. The Bowden cable is operated by a thumb-screw a, Fig. 2, geared to a drum c on which the wire is wound. In a modification, the valve lever e, Fig. 1, is attached to the wire of the Bowden cable and the outer casing of the cable is anchored.
