Indicators adapted to be dipped into and to remove a column of liquid from the liquid vessel.-The lower end of a transparent tube A adapted to remove a column of liquid from a liquid-container is closed by the weight of a central rod B formed with an expansion C which fits into the lower end of the tube. The upper end of the rod is provided with a handle D and with a stop E for preventing the rod from being withdrawn for more than a short distance. The tube may be enclosed in a tight-fitting case provided with longitudinal sighting-slots. Graduation marks may be made on the casing at the sides of the slots or upon the tube itself.
