Leathers or sweat bands.-Hat leathers are detachably applied to the crowns by means of a resilient ring d of circular cross-section which is inserted in the brachering in addition to the ordinary cane c. The ring may be whole or split and secures the leather by engaging an annular groove of part-circular section made in the crown of the hat. Similar devices used independently of the brachering are disclaimed.
