14,007. Brokaw, W. G. Oct. 2. Body attachments, in flatable.-A life-saving collar is provided at or near its forward ends with means for detachably connecting it with a waistcoat or other garment. In one form, Figs. 1 and 3, the in flatable collar 6 is enclosed in a cover 14, the forward ends of which are provided with fastener members 18 adapted to engage members 22 on the waistcoat. The rear edge of the cover is closed by a flap 26 having snap-fasteners 27. Straps 28 attached to the outer corners of the collar are passed through the armholes and can be buckled in front of the wearer. An inflating-tube 10 is passed through an opening 31 in the waistcoat. In a modification, Fig. 4, the collar has overlapping portions 34 secured by snap-fasteners 36, and a pivoted tab 40 with button-holes for securing to the waistcoat buttons. The collar may be provided with a cover having similar overlapping portions and a pivoted tab 46, and may be fastened at the back instead of in front. The collar may be used as a pillow, or as a bottle for hot water or drinking-water, which is introduced through the inflating-tube 37.
