Embossing.-In a method of impressing designs on celluloid or the like from an engraved plate by aid of heat, the engraved plate, celluloid, and a metal cover-plate are placed in a suitable holder, and the whole then heated to render the celluloid &c. plastic, whereupon the holder, with its contents, is placed in a press and subjected to pressure.
