Guards.-A guard for the intermediate scrolls of spinning-mules comprises a lower part a secured, to the floor, and an upper part b with a hinged semi-circular cover d. The part b is adjustably secured to the part a hy bolts engaging holes and slots c at each side of the guard. A door at the back, hinged to the part a, is made in two parts f, g hinged together. The covers d and f, g are secured by bolts j, h engaging slots m in them, and the securing-bolts are riveted to a back-plate k attached to the part b. Openings for the scroll bands are provided at the bottom nf the front part.
