Ink-ribbons.-An ink ribbon for a typewriter used for printing transfers for making printing- surfaces is prepared with a special transfer ink composed of yellow wax, mutton tallow, resin soap, gum lac and lamp black, preferably in the proportion of 3 parts by weight each of the wax and tallow, 10 parts of soap, 4 parts of gum lac and 3 parts of lamp black.
