Eye instruments.-Relates to lower eyelid retractors for use in operations upon the eye, and consists of a flat metal shank B, having a double hook A for engagement with the lid, and riveted at the end D to a spring clip C, which may be of metal, vulcanite, or other suitable material, and is adapted to be passed around the proximal phalanx of the surgeon's thumb in such a manner that the shank remains upon the dorsal surface of the thumb and the hook, projecting beyond the tip, points towards the palmar surface.
