Fruit, gathering.-Relates to fruit-picking devices of the kind in which spring hinged jaws with a bag, net, or the like suspended therefrom are carried on the end of a pole, the jaws being closed on the fruit by pulling a cord. According to the invention, a metal frame A, hinged at A' is secured at one end A2 to the pole E and carries a purse-shaped bag or net D kept open by the spring action of the frame. The device is closed upon the fruit by pulling a cord C attached to the free end of the frame A.
