Handles.-Cork hand-grips for cycles, fishing- rods, golf clubs, rackets, &c., are formed by attaching strips or pieces of cork to a core of cork so as to form a number of projections with intervening recesses. As shown in Fig. 1, spaced rings of cork dare attached to a core a of cork covering the grip part of a split cane &c. fishing rod b. Longitudinal strips may be used in place of rings, and the strips or rings may be evenly spaced and of equal size or otherwise. Fig. 2 shows a golf-club handle with a spirally-wound strip or strips of cork e on the cork core a. Fig. 3 shows a racket handle grip with pieces f of cork attached patternvise to the cork core a. The strips or pieces are attached by shellac or other suitable material preferably impervious to moisture.
