Treating-materials; manures. - Waste liquor from the lime process of treating hides is treated with the waste acid liquor from the tanning process or finishing process, nitrogenous matter, which can be converted into a fertilizer or used in the production of ammonia, being precipitated. The waste liquors are passed through sediment tanks before being mixed. For use as a fertilizer, the precipitate is treated with sulphuric acid and dried.
