Respirators. - An apparatus for supplying oxygen to aviators and others to support respiration comprises a helmet having a free inlet B1 for atmospheric air communicating by tubes with a nose-piece A, and an oxygen-supply tube F fitted with a needle valve E or other regulator and leading by branch tubes D into the air-tubes. An exhaling port C is provided, and this port and the nose-piece may be fitted with non-return valves. The oxygen is obtained from the electrolytic decomposition of water or an aqueous solution, the generator described in Specification 113,048, [Class 7 (ii), Internal-combustion engines, Arrangement &c. of], being used.
