Bulk-head doors.-Doors for bulkheads and openings in partitions are fastened by means of wedges or cleats carried bv a sliding bar adjacent to the door opening and engaging similar wedges or cleats fixed cn the door, or vice versa. Fig. 1 shows a door provided with wedges 20 which are engaged by cleats 21 on a bar 22 sliding in guides 23 and actuated bv a cam 24 engaging a loop 26 on the lower end of the bar. The bar slides over beads 28, Fig, 2, to reduce friction. Fig. 4 shows a modification in which the sliding bar is carried by the door and has slots 30 to fit over guides 31, and slots 32 to clear the wedges 20 in closing the door. The bar is operated by a cam 24 as before. A similar form of fastening is described for a door hinged along the top side. Specification 133 778 is referred to.
