Stirrups 19 are fixed to the carriage J. or hung from the board 3. Movement of the rider's body makes the board 3 rise and fall. A connecting-rod 13 and chain driving-gear may be provided, as shown, to propel the carriage 1. For steering purposes, the front wheels may be suitably pivoted and connected by cords C with steering-handles 10.
