Reels and reelcarriages. - A toy winder for winding kite strings, fishing - lines, or the like consists of two parallel sides A joined by connecting- pieces B, and a metal spindle C passing through the centre of the frame and held at one end by a nut F. The other end of the spindle terminates in a looped handle, between the frame and which is interposed a wooden disk D to operate as a manually-applied brake. One of the connecting-pieces B is extended beyond the frame to form a handle H.
