Improvements in the manufacture of reinforced hollow blocks for masonry work

Reinforced blockwork walls.-Blocks are used having central and lateral projections 6, 3, 4 at the end, so that a central projection 6 on one block fits into the recess formed by projections 3, 4 of an adjacent block, and the projections 6 have vertical holes 9 so arranged that the holes of one course will aline with the holes of a superposed course. Connections between the courses is effected by means of metal bars, one-half of each of which extends into a hole of either course, the holes being filled up with concrete formed of powdered brick, sand, and cement.
