Centrifugal governors.-A fluid, such as oil, supplied by a pump 6 at constant pressure to a piston chamber 9, escapes through a rotating discharge member 23, the outlet of which is more or less closed by a centrifugally-adjusted valve 26 according to the speed of the engine to be governed, which drives the member 23 by means of a bevelwheel 17. The governing action is effected by the movements of the piston 8.
