163,881. James, A. E. April 12, 1920. Thermometer.-A cylindrical envelope of waxed rice paper closed at one end is placed over a clinical thermometer during use. After registering, the thermometer, which remains sterile, is removed alone, and the envelope is then withdrawn from the patient's mouth and destroyed. According to the Provisional Specification, the envelope may be impregnated with an antiseptic.
