Vapour apparatus, arrangements of.-In metalvapour rectifiers fed through a polyphase choking- device, the higher harmonics are suppressed by providing the choking-device with at least one unwound limb in addition to the limbs carrying the phase windings. The magneto-motive forces generated by the upper harmonic currents are in parallel to the extra limb or limbs, so that a field is generated which tends to suppress these currents.
