177,047. Gill, J. H. W., and Hobson, E. D. March 10, 1921. Screw propellers.-Two oppositely rotating coaxial screw propellers each carry a casing, which casings jointly act as a converging nozzle. The blades A have an attached casing D which in oonjunction with the casing D1 on the blades A1 form a converging nozzle. Each blade may have an increasing pitch from the front edge to the rear edge and from root to tip. The blades may be inclined to the shaft, be formed by a curved generatrix, and have a uniform thickness across the blade, which thickness diminishes from root to tip.
