Controlling different functions by same handle or lever.-A bath chair is fitted with a motor unit having grooved pulleys which are mounted on an extension of the crank-shaft and are disengaged when the brakes are applied. The unit is mounted so that it can slide longitudinally on a frame 15 mounted above the frame of the bath chair. Springs 26 press the frame forwardly so that the grooved pulleys 25 engage the wheel tyres 5, while the unit is moved rearwardly by a connection 27 to the lever 9 which also applies the brake.
