Rollers and roller heads.-In drawing mechanism as described in the parent Specification, a cap or plate 21 is arranged to cooperate with, and press the sliver against, the under-side of an easily removable top roller 18. The cap 21 is loosely swivelled on two arms 24 of a member 26, the arms 24 terminating in eyes 22 which receive trunnions 23. The member 26 is supported over a rod 25 which is secured to the roller stand 10, and the portion 27 is of sufficient weight to over-balance the cap 21 and press it against the roller 18. To cause the member 26 to traverse with the sliver, a finger 29 on a traverse bar 30 may be arranged to engage with a slot 28. A thread guide 31 may also be provided.
