Hollow-ware. -In making annealing and like metal boxes by bending a single sheet of metal to form the sides and welding the abutting edges, the abutting edges are arranged to form an angle 2, Fig. 4, which is filled in with welding material. The top is welded on and is of such a size as to form, in conjunction with the upper edges of the sides, angles 7, Fig. 2, which are also filled in with welding material. The box may be further strengthened by building up welding material at the corners. The box may be provided with lifting pins 8 which may be curved or graved to prevent slipping of the lifting hooks. The Provisional Specification states that the method of making is applicable also to cylindrical or conical pots.
